You want to learn how to drift ... well ... you better listen up.

First off no FWD car will ever be drifting, hate to break it to you but ass dragging doesn't fly here. AWD cars can drift..in the dirt or at less then safe speeds. although you can make them rwd with modifications. Further more unless you have incredibly deep pockets drifting with a serious sports car such as a brand new corvette or something It's advised you pick up something that WHEN it gets bashed, lets be honest in drifting there is never an IF, it's always when it's not going to take and beat down your bank account to fix damage.

Now without further ado lets get into the drift techniques. keep in mind that you'll be using different tatics

E-Brake Drift: Using the emergency hand break to induce a car into a drift. During the drift the driver uses steering and the throttle pressure to control the drift. Right before the corner, flip the e-brake up and turn the wheel into the corner. When the car slides, let go of the brake, and counter steer your car out of the drift so you don't spin out! [ Level: 15 \ Dice: +15 \ Hazard: 1-8 ]

Choku Dori: Type of drift normally performed after a long straight away to slow the car down and make a long drift at a high angle. Slow the car down some with the brake, and just throw the car into the long corner to smoke your way through the bend. [ Level: 31 \ Dice: +24 \ Hazard: 1-14 ]

Feint Drifting: The art of rocking the car to the outside of the turn and using the inertia of the car to swing back into the desired drift line. Swing your car one way, and then throw it back into the corner to use the momentum to propel you forwards! [ Level: 43 \ Dice: +30 \ Hazard: 1-12 ]

So, now you can see how this kinda' works. You will be rolling a two sided dice! So, say you're a beginner at level 7. You can only use the move Powerslide. Post up your character doing one, and roll the dice. You will roll two dice, and the number you roll will be 16. Why? Because you're level 7. You used powerslide, which adds +9 to the dice when you use it. This makes 16. Look out for hazards! Powerslide hazards are 1-7. This means, if you roll a 1-7, your car is takin' damage! You'll also lose points.

You will not roll suspension dice at all.

Alright, got that down? Cool. Now check this out. As you get more advanced, you get chain reactions to add to your powerslide, and other moves. This add to your dice all the same! For example, you will combine this + your move + your level. These are entry moves leading to the drift!

Clutch Kick: Pushing the clutch in and then releasing it quickly to jolt the powertrain and upset the cars balance; causing the rear wheels to slip and induce into a drift. Use your left foot and slam on the clutch before a corner and you'll suddenly feel the car beginning to loose traction. Chain this with a move and you'll see success. [ Level: 23 \ Dice: +5 ]

Heel-Toe Shifting: Drifting technique in which the clutch is pressed with the left foot, while the right foot presses the brake with the toes and the heel slides over to the accelerator to rev the engine up before downshifting the vehicle. Provides for a smooth downshift action without jolt. [ Level: 39 \ Dice: +10]

Wondering how you even win this crazy event? Listen ...

Alright, so drifting is all about being flashy, and showing off while you slide sideways. every racer must keep adding up their rolls until the end of the race. If you hazard one of your rolls, it counts as 0. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

For example ...

Racer 1 rolled 60, 50, 66, 71, 0(hazard) = 247 total
Racer 2 rolled 40, 44, 55, 84, 33 = 256

Racer 2 wins!

Drift events can have racers go one at a time, or two at a time. The winner goes up 2 levels, and loser by 1.
